Prepared my snowblower for summer by draining the gas and running it until it stopped then I drained the oil and flipped it up in the corner until November-ish. I pulled my lawn mower out and packed up our sleds and snow shovels. I'll need a new blade and fresh oil for the mower. Our back lawn was pretty overgrown so bouncing the blade off a bunch of rocks and stumps wore it out in a year.

You take better care of your equipment than I do.
I did drain the gas+oil mix from my blower, but there is still a little left over.
I changed the oil in my mower for the first time ever last year. It also needs a new blade, but I can't get the old one off without air-tools. I also barely pick-up sticks and twigs before I mow.
I hate yard work.

I love yard work.
I pretend like its a chore but I really don't have a problem getting up at 5am to snowblow the drive or spend some evenings mowing the lawn after dinner.
We did just buy our own place a couple years ago. This will be our third spring here. We did a massive cleanup of the back yard last year. The P.O. had fenced in the back yard at some point but it looks like they had never raked or picked up a fallen branch.

Welp, there is already some of that mixed in. I'm storing it face down so it takes up less space and it'd just dribble out until it got below the cap. Also, I'll use the gas in the mower and the oil as fire starter.

ha! I did the same thing. Took everything out if the shed to put it all back in "summer mode" with the blower in the back and the mower in the front. Threw Sta-bil in the blower and put a tarp over it. Threw the battery back in the mower and made sure it still started. I pumped up the tires and threw some paint on the parts I scraped up last year.

Fuck, there are still feet of snow in my yard and snow in the forecast. It's going, but where the snow blower tosses the snow it is still hella deep and pretty much everything else is still snow covered. At least there are a few bare patches starting to show up under & around trees. I probably won't need to clear snow again, but I'm not taking any chances and the snow blower is staying on the tractor. I'll be lucky to see grass by June, never mind mowing it.

Usually April snows don't hang around long here. We've still got plenty of snow on the ground.
